Section III for Social and behavioral gerontology within the German Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics (DGGG) regularly grants a Paper Award for excellent publications by young academics.
Eligible works in German or English should have been contributed by postgraduate candidates working within the area of social and behavioral scientific gerontology and should have been published under their senior authorship in a journal or an anthology. There are no age restrictions for authors, however the status as new scientific talent has to be valid until the end of the submission period and has to be verified (e.g. through the registration for postgraduate studies). Individuals who are not members of the DGGG or Section III are also eligible to receive the award.
