These prestigious positions, to start on 1st September 2023, include a salary and mobility allowance as well as a research, training and networking budget, and are a part of the HOMeAGE international and interdisciplinary training programme on place in later life, coordinated by the Irish Centre For Social Gerontology (ICSG) at the University of Galway (Ireland): Here you can find some basic information on the two positions:

  • Addressing spatial disparities of frail older people through care and support (DR post N° 3), supervised by Professor Micol Bronzini (UNIVPM), Giovanni Lamura (INRCA IRCCS) and Kieran Walsh (ICSG). The successful applicant will complete two funded 4-month secondments: (1) University of Galway, Ireland, focussing on social exclusion models in later life; (2) an Italian SME specialised in innovative technologies for ageing in place;
  • Technology-enhanced housing, care and mobility (HCM) in a post-pandemic context (DR post N° 4), supervised by Professor Marco Arlotti (UNIVPM), Dr. Francesco Barbabella (INRCA IRCCS) and Prof. A.S. Smetcoren (Vrije Universiteit Brussel - VUB, Belgium). The successful applicant will complete two funded 4-month secondments: (1) VUB, Belgium, focussing on housing models for later life and European housing policy; (2) an Italian SME specialised in research on technology innovations for ageing in place.
